The ramps and tiles in the Excellent Systems product line are 100% non-toxic and PVC free. The raw material that is used in the system is approved for food and beverage use. The surface is not porous and will not allow bacteria to collect.
The daily cleaning can be accomplished with the normal cleaning agents, you already use.
When cleaning outdoor ramps and mats, high pressure cleaners can be used to good effect. In this case it is a good idea to make sure that the worst dust/debris in the area under the ramp is removed before cleaning. See the following image series.

- Example of cleaning beneath an outdoor mat. The mat is "un-zipped" in lines of 3-4 tiles. Sweap the surface and rool the mat back at its original position. Step gently along the un-zipped line in order to press the c-locks back in place.
Cleaning ramps in bathrooms and wet areas:
Cleaning of ramps and mats in the bathroom is done just as normal cleaning. It is always a good idea to rinse shower mats on the under side after every shower, as this will ensure that cleaning is easily manageable. For a thorough cleaning, you can put the tile and/or ramp elements in a normal dishwasher and run a full wash cycle. The elements in the system also tolerate autoclaving (to 130º C).

- An example of cleaning a shower mat. The mat is "rolled up" and rinsed on the under side. For a more thorough cleansing and disinfection, the tiles can be washed in a normal dishwashing machine
Cleaning of thresholdramps:
threshold ramps are often easy to handle and the cleaning should just be a part of the daily rutine. The ramps can be vaccum cleaned as part of the normal surface. It is recommendable that the ramps are removed from time to time in order to clean the surface beneath. The threshold ramps can be washed and cleaned for instance in the shower. If the ramp is fixed with mounting pads or threshold screws - the ramp can simply be lifted up - leaving the screws and mounting pads untouched for easy re-mounting of the ramp after cleaning. If the ramp is mounted with double adhesive tape - this will have to be replaced again for mounting after cleaning.
